You will require a medical to work on a ship while travelling to some parts of the world. Your employer might also want to see a medical to assure that you are fit for travel and work.
Taking a medical before travelling ensures that any health problem that develops while you remain on the board of the ship will be covered by the health insurance of the employer. This means that you will not have to pay if you visit infirmary of the ship while working.
The cost for the visa medical or cruise line starts from £350.
